The mission of Dissertation Dish is to highlight quality emerging research in the field of service-learning and community engagement by providing a platform for recent doctoral degree recipients to share their work more broadly. Dissertation Dish does so by hosting monthly webinars for all to attend! Dissertation Dish aims to make new emerging research in the field more accessible to all. Join us at the upcoming Dissertation Dish Session on October 2, 2024, from 4:15 - 5:15 pm PT, presented live at the IARSLCE conference and virtually, featuring Christian Compare, PhD, Adjunct Professor and Research Fellow in the Department of Psychology at the University of Bologna, Italy, who will host "The Transformative Potential of Community Engagement in Higher Education: An Analysis of Service-Learning Effects on Students, Communities, and Institutions," comparing the effects of service-learning courses to traditional ones, and exploring engaged scholarship's transformative impacts on students, teachers, and HEIs.
